How To Register EPF Complaints? A step-by-step guide

Grievance Online At EPFiGMS?

EPFIGMS is a EPF I grievance management system of Employee Provident Fund Organisation.

                          EPFiGMS or EPF Grievance Management System is an official portal for grievances and complaints in regard to EPF. All the registered EPF members (including PF members, employers, and EPF pensioners) will be able to access this portal and lodged their complaints, grievances, and queries. These will be addressed online through this portal itself.

                            Individuals who have complaints on claim, should make sure that Universal Account Number (UAN) is activated along with verification by aadhaar and bank account by your employers.



Individuals can raise EPF complaints grievances such as:

Issue of Final Settlement / Withdrawal of PF.

- Transfer of PF accumulations (F-13)

- Scheme certificate (10C)

- Settlement of pension (10D)

- Issue Of PF slip / PF Balance

- Payment of insurance benefit (5IF)

- Cheque returned / misplaced

The status of the complaint can also be checked online. In case the query is not resolved within the specific time, reminders can be sent as well.


The step-by-step procedure to register a complaint on EPF i-Grievance Management System is mentioned below:

Step 1 : Visit the official website of EPF Grievance Management System (https://epfigms.gov.in/).


Step 2 : Click on ‘Register Grievance’.

Step 3 : Select one of the options that have been provided against the ‘Status’ section.


Step 4 : Select ‘Others’ in case you do not know the PF number


Step 5 : enter your Universal Account Number (UAN) and the security code.


Step 6 : Click on ‘Get Details’.


Step 7 : Your name, UAN, email ID, and mobile number will be displayed on the screen.


Step 8 : Click on ‘Get OTP’. Enter the OTP that has been sent to your mobile number.


Step 9 :  Under the ‘Personal Details’ section, choose the relevant PF account number.


Step 10 : Under the ‘Grievance Details’ section, select what the grievance is related to, the grievance category, and enter the description.


Step 11 : Upload any relevant documents that support the complaint. This can be done by clicking on ‘Choose Files’ and then ‘Attach’


                                                      You will receive a registration number once the complaint has been registered. The details will be sent to you via email as well.


Checking status of complaint

Once the complaint has been filed by you, you can check the status of your complaint on the website of the EPF Grievance Management system.

1.Visit https://epfigms.gov.in/

2.Select 'View Status' option.

3.Enter the registration number, i.e., complaint number, Grievance Password or Mobile number/email id and security code.

4.Click on 'Submit'.

                               The status of your grievance will be shown on your computer screen. The grievance status will also indicate which regional office of the EPFO is dealing with your complaint and the name of the officer dealing with your complain.


conclusion :

                 Verification of the complaint is done by the EPFO before it is sent to the relevant department for resolution. It usually takes up to 15-30 days for the complaint to be resolved.
